Themed boxes are so much fun! Packing boxes alone always makes me happy, but their is something special about always being on the lookout for certain themed items. I want to make a cat themed box, but I haven't found any deals on cat items yet. I made a Dollar Tree box of cat themed items in case anyone wants inspiration. All things there are a dollar, so if it is less than a dollar that is because it can be purchased in a pack. This box was designed for a girl aged 10-14. This box costs $8.91 before tax. It has all of the essentials: a toothbrush, soap, pencils, paper, and a tiger plushy. It also has a fun pen to use at school. The child will get to be creative with a big pack of crayons and a cat themed coloring book. It has a cool pair of knee-high socks with a leopard print. Lastly, there is a puzzle and tiger figure to play with. All this box needs is a note and it is good to go! How do you like this box? What themed box do you want to see next?

Recently, I went into Party City to see their party favors section. I know that they sell party favors individually for very low prices and I thought that it might be a good way to pick up a few small toys. I was right! Party City was great for getting a few small toys and trinkets for OCC and I am definitely planning on going back. Here are the two things I got at this trip. The first thing that I got was this notepad. My brother is making some Disney themed boxes and the one for a 2-4 girl needed paper. I picked this up because it is great for a little girl. It has Minnie Mouse on the front and it was only 40 cents! The other thing that I got is this tambourine. I have heard from people who have distributed boxes that the kids live toys that make music. This tambourine is the perfect size for a shoebox and was on sale for only 30 cents. Can't beat that! My total with tax came out to be only 75 cents. I save all of the change that I find on the floor in a jar and use it for small purchases like this. Have you ever shopped for boxes at Party City?
Michael's is on of my favorite places to shop for OCC deals. I already did a post about a deal alert here, but during that same shopping trip I found a pencil set that happens to be excellent if you are packing multiple boxes. It is called the pencil party pack and it is sold for $5. I was able to use a 40% off coupon from their website, making it only $3 for the whole set. The set includes 48 pieces: 12 #2 pencils, 12 colored pencils, and 24 erasers. The colored pencils come unsharpened and are all different colors. The #2 pencils come unsharpened and without erasers attached. They have a swirly rainbow design on them. The erasers are my favorite part of this set. They are perfect for themed boxes! These four are a butterfly, a rabbit, a ladybug, and a rainbow swirl. These erasers are a watermelon, a cat, a elephant, and a rainbow. Here are the fish, panda, heart, and frog erasers. These are some of my favorites: the pig, toucan, cupcake, and fox. There is a flower, another butterfly, a lion, and a donut. The last four are the ice cream, monkey, star, and strawberry. All of the erasers have a hole in them so that they can be placed on the back of the pencils. Overall, I think that this is an excellent deal for only $3. The colored pencils are great for older kids and can be held together with a rubber band. The pencils are great to include with an eraser on the back in boxes for the kids to use at school. The erasers are all adorable and fairly good in size. I think that the kids will really appreciate receiving these even if they do have access to school supplies because they are cute and fun. What do you think of the pencil party pack?
Themed boxes are so much fun! Packing boxes alone always makes me happy, but their is something special about always being on the lookout for certain themed items. I have a few things to make an under the sea box of my own, it I figured that I would share this in the mean time. All things there are a dollar, so if it is less than a dollar that is because it can be purchased in a pack. This box was designed for a girl aged 2-4. This box totals to $8.75 before tax. It has all of the essentials: a notebook, pen, toothbrush, soap, and a fish stuffy. It has extra school supplies in the form of crayons and some extra hygiene in the form of a comb. The child will have hours of entertainment with her Nemo picture book, mermaid doll, xylophone, and toy fishing set. Just add a personal note and this box is ready to go! How do you like it? What theme would you want to receive if you got a box?
I am constantly adding to my OCC stockpile. Between deals, freebies, and finding new yet unwanted things in my home, I can accumulate quite a collection in a month. Here are the items that I have collected in the moth of July. During a quick Dollar Tree run this month, I grabbed this cute color-your-own dino bag. The bag's quality isn't the greatest, but I do think that it will hold up for a while. During that same trip to the Dollar Tree, I found this cute dino. He will go in my second dino box. Target had these cute lego sets for only $1 in the dollar section. Each has 72 bricks and they are actually great quality! I moved them from their original packaging into these bags so that the kids have somewhere to store them. I got these pencils and pens from clearing out my office. Brand new! This little paddle ball was an arcade prize. I double knotted the string in the back to make sure it stays on. I found these three Chick-fil-a toys in the car and they are too old to trade for ice cream. I know that the book is going to OCC because it has lots of pictures. However, the table topics are all in English so I think that they will only go if I need to fill a crack in a box. I collected some crayons from restaurants. I have a few more sets not pictured. All of these sets are melt proof as well. They were left in the car for a few days. I got some stickers. The dog is from the doctor that my brother got as a reward for not crying during shots. The roll is from Trader Joe's. My brother and I always ask for stickers and we save the few that they give us for OCC. This time, my mom told the man that we do save them for OCC and the man offered us the whole roll. Now all of the girl's boxes can get a set of flower stickers. I stayed at a hotel for a volleyball camp and I picked up these two bars of soap. I got two (one pictured) of these Christmas shirts from Marshalls. Each was only 50 cents and they are size 4 toddler. They are perfect for 2-4 boxes! This price shows just how much you can save if you check for deals everywhere. I never would have expected to find 50 cent shirts from Christmas time in July, but I did and I couldn't be happier! I got two shirts for the price of one Dollar Tree shirt, so two kids can now have something nice to wear. That is what I have for July. Other things were posted in other hauls this month, and I will have a vacation haul coming soon!
